Claire Evans attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now RCS) and studied singing. She won prizes for Scots Song and analysis and performed in opera and chamber choir performances. 

She is currently a freelance singer with professional ensembles such as The Dunedin Consort and The English Concert and still occasionally features as a soloist for choral societies. 

Claire volunteers with Rubber Chicken Theatre where she is vocal and ensemble coach. 

She has taught at her home in Dunblane for 15 years and has also recently started teaching students at the University of Glasgow. 

Claire continues her professional development by training in vocal pedagogy. She has Estill levels 1 and 2, is a vocal health first aider and is a member of the Teach Voice Evolve programme. 

Claire is an emergency first aider, a member of the Association of the Teachers of Singing, the Independent Society of Musicians and holds a PVG certificate.
